A broadly encouraging picture of UK graduate recruitment was painted by the latest annual statistics on graduate destinations, released yesterday (Wednesday 21st Oct). What Do Graduates Do? 2015 analyses the results of a survey carried out in January 2015 on people who graduated the previous summer.*

It shows a higher percentage of graduates entering professional level jobs, and graduate unemployment levels falling to levels last seen before the 2008 recession, which is good news, particularly after all the negative stories reported in the media about graduate unemployment over the past few years.

Of the 267,735 UK graduates who responded to the survey:

  • 71.2% were in employment and  6.3% were unemployed
  • Average salaries of graduates employed full-time in the UK was £20,637.
  • 5.5% were working and studying at the same time
  • 12.1% had continued with further study or training

The report also includes valuable insights, features and analysis by some…
